SHELLY GROVES

As a server in La Crosse, WI, at the age of 18, Shelly's father told her she was the worst waitress he ever had.  That comment sparked her drive to excellence in the Food Service Industry. While attending the University of Wisconsin, Shelly fast tracked into management with a small independent restaurant group.  After college, Atlanta called and Shelly answered.

Working in Restaurant Operations Management first with Radisson Hotels and then with Hilton Hotels Corporation in Atlanta, Westchester, NY and Pittsburgh PA.  Back in Atlanta, Shelly worked with The Peasant Group where she led white tablecloth service operations for the company's top performing restaurant.  After The Peasant Group, Shelly went to work for SYSCO Food services of Atlanta for 12 years.  There, she was a Marketing Associate for 6 years before being promoted to District Sales Manager, also for 6 years.  As a District Sales Manager, Shelly managed over $25 million in Sales revenues.
She earned every available Corporate and Local Sales award while with SYSCO.

In addition to helping restaurants secure their back doors and institute sound purchasing and receiving systems, Shelly is a Certified Personal Fitness Instructor, and is a Trainer Volunteer for Get in Shape Boot Camp. This means Shelly has the know how, drive and engergy to get you into fiscal AND  physical shape!

    Recently I was trying to figure out how to do a "banana creme brulee canoli"...it just sounds good...get some banana creme pie filling with fresh chunks of bananas and somehow candy the ends like a creme brulee without burning the canoli shell, then drizzle with honey.
